Pictou County Women’s Resource and Sexual Assault Centre (PCWRSAC) is the oldest Women’s Centre in Nova Scotia. We have a rich history of working within community. We believe by working at the individual and collective levels we can create the necessary changes that will offer individuals a sense of empowerment, choice and greater control over their lives.
PCWRSAC works with survivors through MORPH (Mapping Our Road to Power and Healing) is the community-based intervention/prevention program designed as part of our community response to sexualized violence and facilitated through PCWRSAC. MORPH services include navigation and direct services regarding sexualized violence.
PCWRSAC embraces feminist philosophy central to our work together. Feminism is not a single ideology, but rather is characterized by a diverse set of perspectives and movements dedicated to promoting women’s rights and choices.

Our programs promote well-being including empowerment, independence, choices, equality and equity related to women, girls and survivors of sexual violence.
