Women are 51% of our province and deserve the same access to economic security and personal safety as men.

• Women in Nova Scotia are more likely to earn the lowest wages, have precarious employment and are at the highest risk of violent victimization.
• Marginalized women who experience the harms of racism, exclusion and other forms of oppression are especially at risk for economic insecurity and violence.

Women have made progress in the areas of education and employment, but there is still more work to be done.

WINS Bursary
