Advisory Council

Women’s leadership makes Nova Scotia better.

The Advisory Council works to strengthen women’s opportunities in Nova Scotia. It is composed of women citizen leaders who reflect the diversity of women from across Nova Scotia. These leaders are appointed through the Agencies, Boards, and Commissions appointment process of the Province of Nova Scotia.

The Advisory Council works with the Status of Women office to amplify the voices of women and girls in Nova Scotia. It advises the Minister Responsible for the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act about issues and concerns affecting the lives of women and girls throughout the province.
